Originally from the traditional African music of the Sub-Saharan continent, Kalimba is a form of lamellophone. It was especially common among the Chewa and Tumbuka in Malawi. Several slats are attached to a resonator and plucked with fingers. Its sound is warm, soft and gentle and it has a relaxing effect on its listeners. It can be played alone, but also blends harmoniously into the playing of other instruments.
The Kalimba by Hokema not only sounds as light as a feather, but is also just as easy to learn for everyone and playable without previous knowledge. The handy musical instrument has tuned scales from which you can create wonderful melodies.
