White Sage - Salvia Apiana (white sage, bee sage, or sacred sage) is an evergreen perennial shrub native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, found mainly on the coast of the Mojave and Sonoran deserts. S. Apiana is widely used by Pacific Coast Native American groups. The Cahuilla women drink tea from the roots for healing after childbirth. The leaves are also burned by many for smoke-based purification rituals. A study at the University of Arizona in 1991 demonstrated that S. Apiana possesses antibacterial properties.
Chacrona & Jagube- Psychotria viridis, Chacrona leaf and Banosteriopsis capital, Jagube vine, together are the fundamental ingredients preparing the sacramental nether genie drink Ayahuasca. We are humbled, in coordination with the rituals of Feitio (Making), to add the offscourings, customarily offered back to the soil, into this special blend of Breu Resin incense.
Palo Santo - Andean indigenous Bursera Graveolens tree naturally produces an aromatic hypoallergenic resin that grows in concentration with age. B. graveolens lives for 40-90 years; after death, the wood matures four to 10 more years before it "falls." Only then is it consecrated as "Sacred Wood" (Palo Santo). Copal- is obtained from various trees, especially those in the Burseraceae family. It is commonly used as incense in many cultures, particularly in Mesoamerica, where it has been used for centuries in religious and spiritual ceremonies. Copal is known for its sweet, woody, and resinous aroma, which is said to have a grounding and uplifting effect on the mind and body.
